Walking away: Faubert stormed out of Upton Park[LNB]West Ham defender Julien Faubert has rocked the club's fight for Premier League survival after walking out of Upton Park ahead of the Hammers 1-0 home defeat against Birmingham.[LNB]Faubert, was a late inclusion in Avram Grant's squad after fellow defender James Tomkins pulled out with a calf injury in the pre-match preparations.[LNB]However after learning he had failed to make the starting line-up, the full-back stormed out of Upton Park leaving the Hammers with just six substitutes instead of the usual seven spots.[LNB]A West Ham insider told The Sun:[LNB]'It's unbelievable. The whole club is shocked by it.'[LNB]'Julien turned up as normal before kick-off only to be told he was not in the squad.[LNB]'But without telling anyone he must have just gone home.[LNB]'When someone finally got hold of him on the phone, he refused to come back.'[LNB]The Frenchman is expected to be docked two weeks' wages by boss Grant who is expected to leave Faubert to rot in the reserves.[LNB]With Faubert missing, Grant watched his side suffer a slender one-nil defeat after Nikola Zigic headed a 65th minute winner for the visitors to lift Alex McLeish's side out of the bottom-three, whilst West Ham remain rooted to the foot of the table.[LNB] [LNB] West Ham 0 Birmingham 1: Zigic puts Grant back in the firing lineMcCarthy was branded too fat... and then slimming made him too slow East End idol Noble still loves blowing bubbles for West Ham [LNB]  Explore more:People: James Tomkins, Alex McLeish Places: Birmingham
