Hammers without Upson and Piquionne
West Ham are set to be without captain Matthew Upson and striker Frederic Piquionne for Wednesday night's Carling Cup clash with Stoke.
Both players went off injured during Saturday's Barclays Premier League defeat against Newcastle and are unlikely to be fit for the fourth-round cup tie.
Midfielders Thomas Hitzlsperger (thigh), Zavon Hines and Jack Collison (both knee) are long-term injury absentees.
