Hammers triumph in Germany
West Ham started their pre-season tour of Germany with a 2-0 victory against Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday. [LNB] Carlton Cole scored in the victory against Peterborough in midweek and he made it two goals from two games with a header in Ruhpolding.[LNB]Benni McCarthy secured the victory for Avram Grant's men with a powerful volley just after the break.[LNB]Frederic Piquionne and Scott Parker watched the match from the sidelines and will hope for their first taste of pre-season action against Greek champions Panathinaikos on Friday.
