Hammers tried to sign Jennings

West Ham attempted to sign Bayern Munich-bound Tranmere teenager Dale Jennings back in January, when they were still in the Premier League.[LNB] The Hammers, who at the time were struggling at the foot of the Premier League, wanted to bring Jennings to Upton Park but their offer was declined.[LNB]Instead the 18-year-old striker, who only made his Tranmere debut at the start of last season, has now been granted permission to discuss a dream move to the German giants.[LNB]Jennings made 32 appearances for Rovers last term, scoring six goals, to bring him to the attention of the four-time European champions.[LNB]The move to Munich could be worth up to £1.8million to the League One side.[LNB]
