Hammers sign Tal Ben Haim
Avram Grant has been back to raid his old crisis club Portsmouth for another player. This time, Grant has recruited Isreali defender Ben Haim on loan until January. The 28-year-old central defender has also previously played under Grant for the Isreali national side and Chelsea before his days at Portsmouth. Ben Haim will provide competition at the back for Matthew Upson, Danny Gabbidon and James Tomkins. The club have also said that they are close to securing at least one more player before the start of the season. “The potential recruit is a young international, who represented his country to distinction at the 2010 FIFA World Cup”.
