Hammers make two final signings

West Ham have confirmed the deadline day transfer of right-back Lars Jacobsen from Blackburn Rovers and young Belgian goalkeeper Ruud Boffin. Jacobsen joins the Hammers after an impressive World Cup for his native Denmark after putting pen to paper very late on transfer deadline day.  The Premier League and the Football Association have both ratified all of the paper-work needed to complete the transfer after it was initially sanctioned in the final minutes of the transfer window. 22-year-old Boffin was recruited from Dutch side MVV Maastricht after impressing whilst on trial.  He will provide competition for number 1 Rob Green and the Hammers’ other young goalkeeper Marek Stetch. The arrival of two more players means the Hammers have added 8 players this summer whilst maintaining their key players from last season, including Scott Parker and Carlton Cole, both of whom were subject to a number of inquiries from some big named sides this summer.
