Hammers injury jinx strikes again
With less than a few days to go before the new Premiership season kicks off West Ham's long standing injury jinx seems to have struck again. New signing Thomas Hitzlsperger was taken off last night after just over an hour whilst captaining the German national team with what appeared to be a thigh injury. Hitzlsperger is currently back in London undergoing a scan to determine the severity of the injury. If a muscle tear is diagnosed, as feared, it could keep him out of action for anywhere between three and twelve weeks. The news will be a blow to boss Avram Grant as the German has been in impressive form during the Hammers’ pre-season.
