Hammers defender glad to be back

Fit-again Herita Ilunga admits it was hard to watch from the sidelines as his West Ham team-mates battled for survival last season.[LNB] The Congo defender has returned to action after a back problem ruled him out of the end of the last campaign, when the Irons only just managed to retain their top-flight status.[LNB]Ilunga is looking forward to the challenges ahead under new boss Avram Grant.[LNB]"It was very difficult to watch last season," he told the club's official website.[LNB]"The first time I experienced that in my career and to have four months away from the pitch was very hard to take, but that is football. The most important thing for me is that I am back to help the team.[LNB]"I am positive about the new season. The manager has come in with a good mentality and everybody wants to work well. I think it will be a great season for the club.
