Grant rues ref error

West Ham may well have walked away with three points from Molineux if referee Mark Clattenburg hadn't of disallowed Freddie Piquionne's late winner for handball, according to West Ham boss Avram Grant. "It was clear that the ball hit Freddie Piquionne's chest before he 'scored'.  Mark Clattenburg is one of the best referees in the game but they are human beings and they make mistakes.  Unfortunately, it was against us and it cost us two points.  It could have been very sweet, otherwise." Despite not picking up all three points Grant was happy with the way his team are progressing.  "It was an away game and we needed to show character and spirit," said the boss.  "We've had problems in the past but this is the second game that we have come back from being a goal behind. That shows good character. "My team is moving in the right direction.  There is still a lot to do but there is no doubt that the players are improving and this has been our target all along. At the moment, we are doing the right things.  I'm pleased with how the players are responding. They are giving everything to be better and better."
