West Ham manager Avram Grant does not believe that an injury suffered by star defender Matthew Upson on Saturday is anything serious.[LNB] The England international sustained a minor problem in the 1-0 friendly win over Ipswich and he was substituted as a precaution.[LNB]Former Birmingham centre-back Upson is a key man for the Hammers and Grant will be keen to have the 31-year-old fully fit for his new era at Upton Park.[LNB]Injuries will therefore be a concern for the West Ham boss, but he does not think that the defender's fitness setback is a major issue ahead of Tuesday's trip to Southend and next Saturday's visit of Deportivo La Coruna.[LNB]Upson was playing only his second match since returning from the World Cup and Grant told West Ham's official website: "I don't think it (the injury) is serious, but we don't want to risk our players.[LNB]"I think he will be okay, but we need to see what the medical department say."
