West Ham have confirmed the sale of striker Alessandro Diamanti to Italian side Brescia for a fee of £1.8million.[LNB] The Serie A new boys have snapped up the 27-year-old, who joined the Hammers a year ago from Livorno.[LNB]Another 300,000 euros (£245,000) will be payable if Brescia secure their top-flight status for another year.[LNB]Diamanti scored eight goals in 29 appearances last season, with four coming from the penalty spot.[LNB]With Avram Grant having replaced compatriot Gianfranco Zola as manager, the Italian was seemingly behind Carlton Cole, Luis Boa Morte and Frederic Piquionne in the pecking order.[LNB]He made a brief appearance from the bench in the first match of the season against Aston Villa but was keen to move back to his homeland.[LNB]West Ham have today been linked with a move for Lorient striker Kevin Gameiro.[LNB]
