Da Costa relishing Hammers chance
New West Ham signing Manuel Da Costa is looking forward to making his mark in English football.
The 23-year-old has arrived on a three-year deal from Italian Serie A side Fiorentina and is expected to make his debut for the Hammers a week on Saturday against Wigan.
French-born Da Costa has a wealth of experience, playing in the Champions League and winning the Dutch title with PSV Eindhoven.
He told the club's official website: "I spoke with Gianluca Nani and Gianfranco Zola and they both told me they wanted me to come over and to give me a chance to have a fresh start.
"They told me they had confidence in my ability, which made me feel good, so I was very happy to join West Ham. I am looking forward to living and playing in London."
