The Welshman was left of out Sunday's 3-1 win over Fulham and moved, a day later, to Eastlands for £14 million. Speaking about Bellamy for the first time, Zola said he did not go on strike prior to the Fulham game, [LNB]'The players are OK, they know what happened and they want to get on with their job and try to make it work,' said Zola ahead of Saturday's FA Cup trip to Hartlepool. [LNB]'This team is doing well because of everybody. We respect that Craig decided to go somewhere else to find his fortunes in another place but we want to get on with our lives, and be successful without him and I think we can do that. [LNB]'The players have learnt things from him but the young players are determined to get on with their lives and be successful. [LNB]'Craig Bellamy wanted to leave, for a new experience, it is as simple as that,' added Zola. 'He didn't go on strike but I don't think he wanted to stay.' [LNB]Zola has been promised some of the funds generated from the sale of Bellamy and he has been linked with former Fenerbahce midfielder Stephen Appiah, Panathinaikos defender Bryce Moon, Brescia winger Savio Nsereko and Cardiff midfielder Joe Ledley. [LNB]He is believed to be close to adding at least two newcomers to his squad but today he added: 'I don't like talking about players from other teams, I want to focus on the players that we have now. [LNB]'This team was playing well even when we weren't winning. Now something has clicked and the confidence and self-belief has been helped, and everything is going the right way, and that is down to the hard work they all put in training.' [LNB]
