Collison relishing return

Jack Collison is desperate to play a part in West Ham's remarkable survival bid as he nears the end of his year-long recovery from knee surgery. Midfielder Collison, 22, has watched the Hammers haul themselves out of the Barclays Premier League drop zone as they look to become only the second club to stay up having been bottom on Christmas Day. The squad are nearing the end of their mid-season training camp on the Algarve, where Collison has been allowed to join in with his team-mates. He told his club's official website: "When you are out for a long time and are doing rehab, it is a lonely time. "So for me, this is great, and to be back properly amongst the banter as well - as you can imagine that is flying around in plenty supply. "For me, my aim is to just get back playing and hopefully, if I can, play a part in helping us finish the season on a positive note."
