Cole: We've made a statement
West Ham striker Carlton Cole admits confidence is high heading into Sunday's Championship clash at home to Leeds.[LNB] Cole marked his first start of the season with his first goal since February as Sam Allardyce's side demolished Watford 4-0 on Tuesday night.[LNB]"The manager is chuffed by the way we play and the style of football we played. We are really happy," he said.[LNB]"It helps breed confidence, two clean sheets in a row - I can't remember the last time we had that.[LNB]"It bodes well for the goalkeeper, the defence, the whole team really. We had to make a statement and I think it really bodes well for the team.[LNB]"The fans need to see we are serious in this league."
