Cole on target as Hammers sink Posh

Carlton Cole was on the scoresheet as West Ham recorded a narrow 2-1 win at Peterborough in Avram Grant's first match in charge of the club.[LNB] The Hammers took the lead when new signing Thomas Hitzlsperger found Cole inside the area and the England international smashed past Joe Lewis.[LNB]Peterborough had trialist Franck Queudrue in their side for the second half and drew level in the 50th minute when new signing Dave Hibbert headed in a George Boyd free-kick.[LNB]Anthony Edgar hit the winner for the Premier League side when he capped a strong run from midfield with a low finish.
