Cole aims to stay among the goals

Carlton Cole has vowed to continue scoring the goals which could rescue West Ham from relegation. Cole's first league double helped haul the Hammers off the foot of the table in Sunday's crucial 3-1 win at Fulham. The England striker has been in and out of the side this season after struggling to hit top form following an injury-blighted 2009-10 campaign. But the 27-year-old insists there are no more excuses as West Ham look to become only the second team to avoid the drop after being bottom of the Premier League at Christmas. "My body is top-notch again; I feel strong and I feel powerful," said Cole. "I did have to recover from my injury and it took ages mentally and physically. "I think, right now, I'm on key and I've got no excuses. I've got to play well as the club really needs me to pull my weight and that's what I need to do."
