Bowyer poised for Blues move
Lee Bowyer is poised to make his loan move to Birmingham from West Ham permanent in the next few days.
The 32-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at St Andrews and Blues manager Alex McLeish expects the deal to be completed by Wednesday.
The midfielder played 17 times for Birmingham as they booked their place in the Premier League by finishing second in the Championship last term.
The Blues boss is keen to add to his midfield after considerably strengthening his defence this summer.
McLeish had expressed concern that the permanent transfer may not happen if the Hammers man failed to lower his wage demands, but it now appears that an agreement has been reached.
The Blues will be Bowyer's fifth club in what has been an eventful career to date.
