Bordeaux line up ex-West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola for speedy return to management

Bitter end: Gianfranco Zola is still in dispute with West Ham after his sacking earlier this month[LNB]Gianfranco Zola could be offered a route straight back into management with Bordeaux. [LNB]The Ligue 1 club have made Auxerre boss Jean Fernandez their No 1 target to replace Laurent Blanc, who will take over from Raymond Domenech as France coach after the World Cup. [LNB]However, Fernandez is reluctant to leave his post after qualifying for the Champions League, while reigning champions Bordeaux only managed sixth place this season and missed out on European football. [LNB]Jean-Louis Triaud, president at the Stade Chaban Delmas, is determined to do his best to talk around the 55-year-old, but has lined up Zola as an alternative. [LNB]The popular Italian is still in dispute with West Ham after being sacked earlier this month, but will be buoyed by the interest.
