Blair Turgott: West Ham wonder-kid scores hat-trick in QPR friendly

At the age of 8, Blair Turgott joined the reputable West Ham United academy. 10 years later he made it to the FA Cup final with Bradford, an experience that he’ll never forget, but not in a good way.

Turgott was loaned to Bradford City back in November 2012. He was benched in the FA Cup final 5-0 loss against Premier League strugglers Aston Villa and never came on. A dream that every young footballer dreams of was denied. Who knows if he will ever step onto the Wembley turf that he was once meters away from.

There are not all negatives for Blair Turgott. He once played himself in the West Ham film, “Green Street” aged 11.

Turgott bounced back from the Wembley disappointment by scoring a clinical hat-trick in a friendly against QPR.

The 18 year old, wore the number 7 and showed terrific agility and composure to score three goals from long range.

Turgott played against some of the first team players at QPR and showed his ability could help him towards his quest for a Premier Leauge debut.

After only playing 11 times for Bradford City, the skilful winger has had a successful time as an England youth player. Here are his international youth stats.

Youth Level International Youth Caps International Youth Goals
England U16's 6 3
England U17's 16 4
England U18's 1 0
England U19's 6 3

As you can see from these stats he could be one for the future, with good potential, we might see him return to Wembley in an England shirt.
