West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is hoping the floodgates have opened after Kevin Nolan got off the mark in the 1-0 win at Doncaster.[LNB] Nolan, a £4million summer signing who hit 18 goals during Newcastle's promotion season two years ago, opened his account for the Hammers with a fine volley and almost doubled his tally with a shot which hit the crossbar.[LNB]"Kevin Nolan's goal was outstanding and he will become more and more influential the more the lads get to know him as a player," said Allardyce.[LNB]"The demands he makes of them are the same he has on himself.[LNB]"That's why I made him captain. He is also here for his ability to score goals and he has started with the first one in the second game.[LNB]"He is very unfortunate it wasn't two with the best piece of skill in the game."[LNB]
