Put it there: Grant shakes hands with captain Scott Parker at the end of the 3-3 draw at West Bromwich

West Ham manager Avram Grant has given his players three days off this week after their heroic comeback against West Bromwich Albion.

The Hammers were 3-0 down at the Hawthorns on Saturday before Demna Ba, who scored twice, and Carlton Cole levelled the match to earn Grant's struggling side a well-deserved point.

It still leaves West Ham fighting for their lives in the Barclays Premier League with the club still slumped one above bottom in the relegation zone.

But Grant has stunned observers by telling his players they do not have to report for training until Wednesday.

Then he plans to take them go-karting and on to a swanky nightclub on Thursday for 'team bonding', according to the News of the World.
