Allardyce considering Diouf

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is considering offering El Hadji Diouf a contract with the club, if he can prove his fitness.

Diouf has been training with West Ham and is available on a free transfer after leaving Blackburn last summer. The move is sure to infuriate the clubs fans whom Diouf is alleged to have spat at during a game at Anfield in 2003.

More recently Diouf has been involved in altercations with opposing players, managers and fans and has built up a reputation for causing trouble.

Allardyce who managed him at Bolton and Blackburn is intent on guiding the club back to the top flight and is seemingly willing to endure the wrath of fans in an attempt to do so as soon as possible.
