Alessandro Diamanti completes £1.8m move from West Ham to Brescia

Back home: Diamanti has left West Ham for Italy[LNB]West Ham have confirmed the sale of striker Alessandro Diamanti to Italian side Brescia. [LNB]The Serie A new boys have paid £1.8million for the 27-year-old, who joined the Hammers a year ago from Livorno. [LNB]Another £245,000 will be payable if Brescia secure their top-flight status for another year. [LNB]Diamanti scored eight goals in 29 appearances last season, with four coming from the penalty spot. [LNB]With Avram Grant having replaced compatriot Gianfranco Zola as manager, the Italian was seemingly behind Carlton Cole, Luis Boa Morte and Frederic Piquionne in the pecking order. [LNB]He made a brief appearance from the bench in the first match of the season against Aston Villa but was keen to move back to his homeland.
