Striker aims to impress boss Chris Wood hopes to play into Roy Hodgson’s first-team plans during pre-season. The 19-year-old secured back-to-back promotions last season as helped Brighton secure the League One trophy firing ten goals in the process. The New Zealand international is now back at The Hawthorns and hopes to continue his development under the experienced Hodgson. “I hopefully want to push my way into the West Brom side during the pre-season,” he said. “I want to show a bit to the new manager. I spoke to him when I went back a couple of weeks before the end of the season and he said he wants to see what I can do. “It’s good to see that he’s interested and I hope he likes what he sees.” Is Chris Wood good enough for the first team next season?
