[LNB] Barclays Premier League West Bromwich 1 Wolves 1 FT[LNB]FULL TIME: West Bromwich 1 Wolves 1 [LNB]A sickener right at the death costs Wolves the three points. McCarthy's side came and dominated for long spells and thought they'd taken a vital three points to aid their relegation battle. Not sure a point is good enough for either side, though. [LNB]92min: GOAL West Bromwich 1 Wolves 1 (Carlos Vela)[LNB]A late stunner from Vela, steals a point for West Brom. Bedlam at the Hawthorns as Hodgson's men grab a chunk of the spoils right at the death. Not a classic goal but the hosts won't care. The Arsenal loanee slammed home through a sea of legs from seven yards. [LNB]90min: We'll have four minutes added on...[LNB]86min: Still West Brom show some willing but they are now being reduced to long punts forward. Very un-Roberto di Matteo. [LNB]83min: One change a-piece. Gonzalo Jara is replaced by Steven Reid and Steven Ward is on for Kevin Foley. That is all. [LNB]81min: Still nothing much for the hosts to get excited about. If anything is going to happen, its going to be late and it will be dramatic but in all honesty, it doesn't look very likely at the moment. West Brom are huffing and puffing but they can't fashion an opening. [LNB]77min: Vela almost makes an instant impact. His turnad shot just inside the box is well held by Hennessey. What can Hodgson do to turn this around? [LNB]74min: Are they boos I can hear? Hodgson makes another substitution, taking off the creative talent of Graham Dorrans and throws on Arsenal loanee Carlos Vela. Not sure the locals were pleased with that decision.  [LNB]72min: Off the line! West Bromwich corner, headed goalwards by Olsson but Jarvis was there on the far post to nod clear. Wolves are riding their luck now. [LNB]69min: Next change, this time McCarthy juggles his pack. Nenad Milijas is replaced by Sylvan Ebanks-Blake. No sign of Wolves hanging on to their lead.  [LNB] Down but not out: Milijas and Fortune battle for the ball[LNB]67min: What a miss, hang your head Marc-Antoine Fortune! Long ball nodded across goal by Odemwingie to his strike partner Fortune who completyely mis-timed his kick from eight yards out with the goal gaping. Bad. [LNB]64min: And so we have the first change of the match: James Morrison replaces Jerome Thomas for the Baggies. [LNB]61min: Noise levels are edging ever upwards as the home fans sense this is their teams best spell of the game. But they must take advantage of their dominance. [LNB]58min: Much, much better from the Baggies. Two clearcut chances in a matter of moments go begging. Fortune slams a shot from 10 yards out into the side netting and huge credit to Elokobi who threw himself at Odemwingie's goalbound shot. [LNB]53min: The home fans are getting onto their player's backs now. Passes aren't finding feet and the the locals aren't impressed with the endeavour. [LNB]49min: My word, that should be 2-0. Guilt-edged chance for Matt Jarvis following some atrocious defending from Tamas. Lofted ball towards the Baggies' box , Tamas mis-timed his leap allowing Jarvis to nick in behind but hew panicked, rushed his effort, dragging it well wide. [LNB] Say what? McCarthy and Hodgson exchange a few word on the touchline[LNB]47min: Early pressure from the hosts, Fortune scampers off down the wing but makes a right hash of his cross, much to the amusement of the travelling fans. [LNB]SECOND HALF: No changes to either side, and we're back off and running...[LNB]HALF TIME: West Bromwich 0 Wolves 1 [LNB]A thoroughly entertaining game at Hawthorns, Wolves have just edged it with their early domination, and O'Hara's goal was a real peach. But the Baggies will be buoyed by the fact they are playing the team with the worst away record in the Premier League. [LNB]44min: Time for a breather. Just one minute to be added at the end of the half.[LNB]42min: This game has burst into life now. Both teams breaking at pace and if Kevin Doyle had lifted his head, he would have seen O'Hara screaming for the ball, totally unmarked on the edge of the box. Should be 2-0, really.  [LNB]40min: GOAL West Bromwich 0 Wolves 1 (Jamie O'Hara) [LNB]What a stunning goal that is! O'Hara curls a delightful effort into the top corner from 25 yards out. Great set piece, Nenad Milijas rolled the ball square to the loanee who swept the ball home. Nothing Boaz Myhill could do about it. [LNB] Magic: Wolves celebrate following O'Hara's stunning strike [LNB]35min: Ooooh! The organic sound pours down from the stands as Graham Dorrans curls a shot wide. Seconds later, Odemwingie zips a cracking drive from 20 yards out wide of the upright.  [LNB]31min: Another chance goes begging for West Brom. Gabriel Tamas heads a corner just wide. [LNB]27min: After spending the most part of the first half on the back foot, the Baggies are coming into this. The hosts were unlucky to not take the lead after Odemwingie redirected Chris Brunt's corner just wide of Hennessey's upright. [LNB]23min: Ooof! Baggies fans are on their feet, screaming for referee Dean to brandish a card as George Elokobi's hefty challenge on Marc-Antoine Fortune goes unchecked. This comes just moments after the best chance of the half so far, Jonas Olsson found space in the box but could only head straight at Hennessy. [LNB]19min: McCarthy is winning the tactical battle at the moment. With Doyle up top on his own, O'Hara's presence in a supporting role from  midfield means the visitors are seeing much more of the ball. Still, possession counts for nowt if you don't score. [LNB] Midfield bruisers: O'Hara and Scharner go hard for the ball [LNB]15min: Ronald Zubar zooms off down the wing, he looks up to see Doyle in support but delays his cross, which is then blocked. No sign of his ankle injury there. Wolves still on top. [LNB]12min: Despite the handbags between Odemwingie and Stearman, this has been a rather open game. maybe it's the early kick off which has befuddles the players? Don't they know they should be kicking six or seven bells out of each other? [LNB]9min: Handbags! Referee Dean calls a halt to play and asks to have a word with Odemwingie and Richard Stearman who he spots pushing and shoving and what-have-you. Nowt in it. And we move on. [LNB]6min: First opening for West Bromwich - Nicky Shorey breaks down the right, his cross is fumbled by Wayne Hennessey and the ball drops to Peter Odemwingie who drags his shot wide. [LNB]4min: Wolves have started the brighter of the two teams. Jamie O'Hara continues to impress on his spell away from Tottenham. The baggies are penned back and look happy to contain the early pressure. [LNB]12pm: And we're off...[LNB] Baggies boy: Hodgson takes to the dug out for his first game in charge of West Bromwich[LNB]11.58pm: Insomnia by faithless booms out of the PA system at the Hawthorns, the noise levels creep ever skywards as the fans welcome the players on the pitch. Cracking atmosphere. Warm reception for Hodgson too, who waves politely to the crowd. Football for you in a few moments. [LNB]11.52am: Hodgson came over all theatrical on us this week. Football is all about rehearsing, you see. [LNB]'For me, football from Sunday to the next game is about rehearsals,' he said. 'One would imagine the great actors rehearsed a lot and the excellent plays are the result of fantastic rehearsals, and the great singing performances are a result of people practicing and honing their art.'[LNB]Breathe Roy, breathe goddamit! [LNB]11.49am: The referee today, Mike Dean, has dished out 99 yellow and four red cards in 28 matches this season. So that means today we will see 3.535 yellows and 0.142 of a red. Stats a fact! [LNB]11.42am: West Brom team news: Hodgson makes just one change also the side that drew 3-3 with West Ham as Gabriel Tamas comes in for the injured Youssouf Mulumbu and will partner Jonas Olsson at the heart of defence. Oh, an Paul Scharner is pushed into the mixer in central midfield.[LNB]11.35am: Wolves team news: So, McCarthy has made one change to the team for today's game with West Brom. Kevin Foley comes into the starting eleven with Adam Hammill dropping to the substitutes' bench. Tis all. [LNB]TEAM NEWSWest Brom: Myhill, Jara, Tamas, Olsson, Shorey, Thomas,Dorrans, Scharner, Brunt, Odemwingie, Fortune. Subs: Kiely, Tchoyi, Pablo, Morrison, Reid, Vela, Cox.[LNB]Wolves: Hennessey, Zubar, Stearman, Berra, Elokobi,Foley, Henry, O'Hara, Milijas, Jarvis, Doyle. Subs: Hahnemann, Craddock, Ebanks-Blake, Fletcher, Ward, David Jones, Hammill.[LNB]Referee: Mike Dean (Wirral) [LNB]11.30am: Morning  everyone and welcome to Sportsmail's coverage of the Black Country derby between West Brom and Wolves. [LNB]Certainly no lack of history in this clash, 125 years to be precise, but one minor detail which has so far been left unchecked will pass today as these two old foes face each other for the first time in Premier League history. [LNB]And with both clubs firmly rooted at the wrong end of the table, you can be sure this clash will be a full-blooded affair.  [LNB]In coming boss Roy Hodgson returns to managerial action just 43 days after the demise of his spell in charge of Liverpool. And he will instantly win over Baggies fans with victory during his inaugural game in charge at the Hawthorns. [LNB]But he has a real job on his hands to arrest West Brom's freefall - they have taken just five point s from an available 30 since December and defeat today could see them drop into the relegation places.
