West Bromwich 0 Wolves 1: Carlos Vela saves the day for Roy Hodgson

Substitute Carlos Vela rescued apoint for West Brom with an injury-time equaliser in the Black Countryderby with Wolves at the Hawthorns. [LNB]On-loan Tottenham striker Jamie O'Hara's stunning strike looked to have settled the game in the first half. [LNB] Late show: Carlos Vela celebrates his injury-time leveller to keep Wolves rooted to the foot of the table[LNB] [LNB]But, with seconds remaining, Wolveskeeper Wayne Hennessey spilled James Morrison's shot and Vela, who ison loan from Arsenal, converted the rebound. [LNB]Wolves had been the dominant force in the opening 45 minutes as they made the most of their numerical advantage in midfield. [LNB]O'Hara looked sharp and on hiscurrent form Wolves boss Mick McCarthy looks certain to take up theoption to make the move from White Hart Lane permanent in the summer. [LNB] Derby delight: O'Hara is mobbed after opening the scoring in the 39th minute [LNB] [LNB]Matt Jarvis also caused problems down the left flank while Kevin Doyle was his usual threat as the lone striker.[LNB] It was a different story after the break as Wolves dropped deeper and Paul Scharner started to exert his influence in midfield.[LNB] O'Hara made a determined run at theBaggies defence inside the first 30 seconds before his eventual shotwas blocked by Jonas Olsson. [LNB] For he's a jolly good Vela: the West Brom loanee (second left) struck in injury time [LNB] [LNB]A ball over the top of the Wolvesback four from Gabriel Tamas almost played in top scorer PeterOdemwingie. But Hennessey was alert to the danger and was able to clearfrom the edge of his area. [LNB]  Hennessey was called upon to makethe first save of the game after 21 minutes but he easily dealt withOlsson's header from Chris Brunt's corner. [LNB]West Brom started to gain a footholdin the game and Scharner's glancing header from a Nicky Shorey crosswent just past the post. [LNB]Marc-Antoine Fortune should havedone better when he headed a curling shot from Graham Dorrans over thebar from close range. Then five minutes before half-time a stunningstrike from O'Hara put Wolves ahead. Albion were caught nappingwhen Milijas squared the free-kick to O'Hara and his curling shot flewpast the dive of Myhill into the roof of the net. It was the on loanTottenham player's first goal for Wolves. [LNB]Wolves had the chance to doubletheir lead with a 4-2 numerical advantage on the counter-attack. ButDoyle hesitated, when O'Hara was free to his left, and was crowded out.[LNB] Jarvis then wasted an opportunityafter 51 minutes. Tamas made a mess of trying to head the ball back toHennessey and Jarvis nipped in with only the keeper to beat. But, from10 yards, out he dragged the shot wide of the far post.[LNB] In a rare Albion attack, Henry lostpossession to Odemwingie who released the overlapping Fortune but hisshot from a narrow angle was turned aside by Hennessey. [LNB] Stuck in: Paul Scharner puts in a crunching challenge on Wolves midfielder Jamie O'Hara[LNB] [LNB]George Elokobi then made a great block to deny Odemwingie at close range and Scharner shot over from 12 yards out.[LNB] Wolves were dropping deeper andFortune should have equalised after 63 minutes.
