West Brom to sign Cardiff goalkeeper Marshall

West Brom look set to sign Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall in a £5million deal.Tony Pulis is hopeful of agreeing a deal with the Championship club before the end of the transfer window.

West Brom wants the 30-year-old Scottish goalkeeper to cover Boaz Myhill, with Ben Foster unavailable until October because of a knee injury.

David Marshall's three-match ban ends after Saturday's clash with QPR and Cardiff's manager Russell Slade said he will have no issues selecting him as the number one goalkeeper.

The former Celtic goalkeeper who represented his country 19 times joined the Bluebirds in 2009 from Norwich City in a deal worth up to £500,000.

West Brom have made five signings this summer including record signing of Salomon Rondon from the Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg.West Brom lost their opening league game against Manchester City 3-0 at The Hawthorns, Meanwhile Cardiff City drew their opening game against Fulham 1-1 at home.
