West Brom and Wigan battle for Hamilton's £2m-rated James McArthur

In demand: McArthur[LNB]West Bromwich Albion are ready to rival Wigan for Hamilton's £2m-rated midfielder James McArthur.[LNB]Wigan want McArthur to follow former teammate James McCarthy who has made a succesful transition to the Premier League but Albion have stayed on his trail since having a bid to sign him on loan rejected in January. [LNB]They will also have money to spend following the impending sale of the highly-rated Graham Dorrans.[LNB]Despite only being 22, McArthur has already made almost 170 appearances after joining Hamilton as a trainee.
