We were well worth point - Hodgson

New West Brom boss Roy Hodgson felt his side deserved more than the last-gasp equaliser by Carlos Vela in the 1-1 Black Country derby draw with Wolves at The Hawthorns. Vela cancelled out Jamie O'Hara's first-half effort in the dying seconds after Wolves keeper Wayne Hennessey failed to hold onto James Morrison's low shot. The share of the spoils moved the Baggies a point clear of the Barclays Premier League drop zone. "I was certainly happy to see the equaliser but if you mean am I happy because I didn't think we deserved any better, then I'm not," said Hodgson. "I thought we deserved better. I thought the performance throughout was good. I thought we laid siege for long periods on the Wolves goal, but we know they defend well. "They are not an easy team to break down - even harder when they get the one-goal lead. But I've got to say, if ever a team worked hard for the equaliser, asked questions, forced good saves and blocks, it was us. "In the end when you equalise late in a game you do have that feeling of happiness and satisfaction. But I'm pretty certain when I think back on Tuesday on the game I won't be quite as happy as I am at this moment in time."
