WBA chairman says there's no offers for Odemwingie

West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace has indicated the club are yet to receive any offers this summer for Peter Odemwingie and stressed they are prepared to keep the wantaway striker if no suitable deals are forthcoming.

Odemwingie, whose contract with Albion runs out at the end of 2013/14, failed to secure a switch to QPR in January despite turning up at Loftus Road on transfer deadline day. In recent weeks the Nigeria international has been linked with the likes of Hull, Swansea and Crystal Palace.

However, Peace told Birmingham Mail: "We have a player who is under contract until the end of the season. Unless something comes in to change our way of thinking he will be back in pre-season and we will deal with that."

He added: "We took a view at the end of January - not only for the reasons of Peter Odemwingie, or QPR, or whichever agents were involved who acted disgracefully, but for the long term of this football club - that we have to behave a certain way.

"If we don't do that they will all be knocking on the door.

"Unless we get an offer we're happy with we won't sell him."
