But Rangers received a lifeline when Adel Taarabt pulled a goal back against the run of play in the 35th minute.
The goal gave Rangers confidence and Albion were on the back foot for the majority of the second half. But Youssouf Mulumbu's first goal of the season looked to have sealed the points before Esteban Granero's late strike.
