Town skipper to miss Dons clash

Northampton will be without Chris Doig for Tuesday's visit of MK Dons as they search for the point they need to secure their League One status.Doig came off during the first half of Saturday's 2-1 defeat of Hereford and is set to miss the clash at Sixfields with a groin injury, so on-loan West Brom defender Jared Hodgkiss is set to come in at right-back.That will see Mark Hughes regain the captain's armband, reverting from stand-in full-back to his usual role at centre-half.Top scorer Adebayo Akinfenwa is still not 100% fit as he battles against a niggling hamstring problem but should start while Jason Crowe is another slight doubt.Crowe scored the winner against the Bulls despite sustaining a tight hamstring but he is expected to pull through and continue in midfield. Paul Rodgers (knee) and Giles Coke (calf) are both ruled out.The Cobblers will be out to avenge the 1-0 defeat they suffered at stadium:mk earlier this season and book their place in League One next season ahead of Saturday's daunting trip to face Leeds at Elland Road.[LNB]
