West Brom head coach Tony Pulis has criticised Callum McManaman for diving to try to win a penalty against Southampton.
The boss will speak to the winger following Saturday's goalless draw with Saints.
Pulis felt the winger went down easily under a challenge from Matt Targett in the area during the first half of the stalemate.
"I've looked at it and I think Callum's feet actually go up from under him and I don't think the player has touched him," he said. "I'll be having a chat with Callum on Monday.
"I don't like to see that. The referee and the linesman made a fantastic decision and they deserve a lot of credit for it."
Saido Berahino returned as a second-half substitute following his strike threat after the Baggies rejected two deadline day bids from Tottenham.
He had missed their previous three games as Pulis left him out due to concerns over his state of mind but he praised the crowd's reaction to the striker.
He added: "I'm pleased he had such a great reception, that's wonderful and it shows the quality and the depth of our supporters to have given him such a reception."
Southampton are unbeaten away from home and have kept three straight clean sheets in the Barclays Premier League.
But boss Ronald Koeman wants more cutting edge after Jay Rodriguez headed their best chance wide in the first half.
"We have to improve," he said. "We have some bad experience from last year with sometimes having too many difficulties to create chances to score.
"We have good front players but there were some misunderstandings in the second half, but that happens.
"I think the key is continue to play how we did but to improve in the final pass, in the final cross and in our position in the box."
