Tamas going nowhere - Agent

West Brom defender Gabriel Tamas has played down reports that he wants to leave the Hawthorns in January. Tamas has been linked in his native Romania with a move to Chelsea during the next transfer window, but his representative, Jon Kirtland, is adamant 27-year-old Tamas wants to remain at Albion. Kirtland told the Birmingham Mail: "I've spoken to Gabriel and what has been written about him (in Romania) is simply not true. "People have noticed Chelsea have injury problems, have noted Roberto Di Matteo is a former Chelsea player, put two and two together and made 10. "I can promise 100% there is nothing in these stories. Chelsea and West Brom have not had any contact that we are aware of - and we certainly haven't. "Gabriel is happy at West Brom, he loves playing for Roberto with whom he has a great relationship." Tamas has played for Dinamo Bucharest, Spartak Moscow, Auxerre, Celta Vigo and Galatasaray, but Kirtland insisted: "Gabriel wants to help West Brom establish themselves in the Premier League. He has a lot of clubs on his CV and it's always been his intention to stay at West Brom for a while."
