But Odemwingie struggling to make City game Peter Odemwingie has set himself another goals target after scoring against Wigan. The Nigerian international scored his ninth goal of the campaign in the fourth minute against the Latics and has now set his sight on double figures. Odemwingie enjoyed his best spell in front of goal during his time in France when he scored 14 times in the league and once in the cup for Lille. But the pacy striker is now hoping to go one better in his first season at The Hawthorns. "Yes, I can say I am doing good," he said. "I think nine goals so far is a good achievement in the Premier League, where getting goals is not that easy. "If I used lots of chances I've missed, I would now be counting 12 to 13 goals. "I think we are trying to play through the middle a lot. "That's why I get chances to score. "I just have to keep working on my finishing and use every chance I get. "With 14 games to go I hope I will get to 15. "The target was to get to double figures, minimum, and I am nearly there, one more goal. "I won't be happy with one more goal this season though. "I will keep pushing to get to 15." The striker also revealed he is an injury doubt for Saturday’s trip to Manchester City (KO 3pm) with an ankle problem. He was temporarily forced off mid-way through the first half against Wigan but hopes to recover in time. “It is my ankle. Someone stepped on it in the first half against Wigan,” he added. "I started feeling something. I will get some treatment and hopefully it will not swell up and I will prepare for Saturday. "It is always interesting to play against a big team like Manchester City so I am hoping there will be no difficulties with the ankle." *Roman Bednar has left the club to join Turkish outfit MKE Ankaragucu on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move.
