Odemwingie to open discussions on improved deal Star striker Peter Odemwinigie is set to open contract negotiations on an improved deal to stay at The Hawthorns. Chairman Jeremy Peace and boss Roy Hodgson are keen to secure the long-term future of Albion’s ace after he fired 15-goals in his first season in England. Odemwingie currently has a year, plus a year in the club’s favour, left on his original deal but his representative, David Omigie, confirmed talks are set to begin when the striker returns from holiday. "Hopefully we will be meeting with West Brom this weekend about Peter's future," Omigie told skysports.com. "West Brom are saying they want to keep Peter and agree a new deal and they know Peter is happy there so hopefully all parties can come to an agreement." The former Lokomotiv Moscow man recently declared his happiness at The Hawthorns, despite reported interest from Arsenal and Chelsea. Do you think that Odemwingie will sign an improved deal?
