Nigerian erases penalty miss after Blackpool double Peter Odemwingie has said he’s finally got over his penalty miss against Manchester United. The Nigerian international missed the spot kick when the scores were level against United with the Baggies finally going on to lose. Odemwingie admits to a lack of confidence and belief as a result but has thanked Albion’s medical staff for helping him to overcome his blip and fire the Baggies to three valuable points against Blackpool.  "I missed a penalty against United, missed a lot of chances recently and we've conceded goals too easily," he said. "I was worried about the team - and for me it was very hard. "So I'm very happy. "I am someone who plays a game in my head all the time. "Even around the club I've been down and in hard times you need people to help. "People have helped during this period, the sporting director and other close friends. "They spoke to me and helped me. "They told me how I can get through this. "You could see it with my first goal. "I couldn't think too much. "I got the ball, tried to control it and had no time to think. "That helped because had I had time to think I might have done something differently."
