Steve Clarke issues warning to West Brom divers

West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke says he will have words with any of his players who he suspects of diving to win free-kicks and penalties.

West Brom were on the wrong end of a diving controversy on Saturday, with Santi Cazorla winning a penalty in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Clarke's side after taking a theatrical tumble in the visitors' 18-yard box.

West Brom defender Liam Ridgewell was accused of diving to win a penalty in the recent win at Sunderland, and Clarke says he will not tolerate simulation by his players.

"I've spoken to Liam on a number of occasions this season. We spoke about a number of different incidents," Clarke said.

"I don't speak about players from other clubs but if one of my players goes down with something similar to that (Cazorla), then we'll talk about it."
