Defender back to his best after summer switch Nicky Shorey is enjoying his football again after his transfer to the Baggies. The former Reading man joined Albion from Midlands neighbours Aston Villa in the summer. The 29-year-old joined Villa in a big money move but failed to secure first team football. Shorey is now displaying the form for the Baggies which earned him an international call up but insists he’s just happy to be playing first team football again.  "That's football - out of sight out of mind," he said.. "When you go to a club and it doesn't work out people obviously wonder why. "That's the way it goes sometimes. "You don't see eye to eye with people and people have their opinion of you. "I'm just delighted I've got the chance to enjoy my football again." Marek Cech started the season as first-choice left back. However after his injury in the Carling Cup at Leyton Orient, Shorey has impressed in his absence and had been named by the local media for a possible international recall. "I am not thinking about England at all,” he continued. "After the two years I have had, which have been very frustrating, all I am thinking about is enjoying my football. "People out there will make decisions on those things and I don't worry myself about them. "I am just delighted to have been given a chance by this club and delighted that I can get out on the pitch and show people how much I am enjoying it. "I would never retire from international football. "If ever they need me I will be there. "Whether it's to play or to pick up cones I will be there to do it! "If you are going to pick out two games, Germany and Brazil would be the two you would pick. "The first game at the new Wembley, especially, is something I will always remember. "I would love to do it again but I am not holding my breath."
