Injury-plagued Republic of Ireland midfielder Steven Reid has announced his retirement from international football. The 29-year-old, who earlier this month signed a two-year deal with West Brom, has decided not to play for his country again in a bid to prolong his club career. Reid, who has 23 senior caps, said: "It was a tough decision because I have had some terrific times with Ireland. But having weighed everything up, I know this is the right decision."
