Defender says experienced coach has had huge impact Steven Reid has hailed the impact Roy Hodgson has had in the short space of time he’s been at The Hawthorns. Albion are unbeaten under the former Liverpool and Fulham boss and earned a credible draw against high-flying Arsenal last weekend. Reid opened the scoring against the Gunners, and says he and his teammates are relishing coming in to training every day and working alongside Hodgson. “He has made a big impact,” said the former Republic of Ireland international. “He's got big experience and we all know he has managed top clubs - Inter Milan and Liverpool to name a couple. “He has great experience and great respect from the lads and we're working day in, day out on shape and pattern and there are no grey areas when we step over the white line now. “Everyone knows their jobs and their positions wherever the ball is on the park and that has shown in the last few weeks. “Every manager has their own ways. “With every manager I have worked under training has been tough on certain days of the week and this is no different. “You can see why he has been so successful over his career. “In the last few weeks we have looked more solid than we did towards the start of the season and if we keep working day in, day out at what he has been teaching us I've got every faith we will be fine.” How do you think Hodgson has done since taking over from Roberto Di Matteo? Is there room for improvement, or has he exceeded expectations? Have your say here at Baggies Banter.
