Odemwingie has his sights on Black Country double

Peter Odemwingie claims Sunday’s Black Country will be the perfect pick-me-up after Saturday’s disappointing 2-1 defeat to Swansea City.

Odemwingie fired Albion’s second goal in the reverse fixture at The Hawthorns when the Baggies triumphed 2-0 over their Staffordshire rivals.

The striker is hoping for the same again this weekend after missing the opportunity to equalise from a simple chance against the Swans.

"How we respond against Wolves is the most important thing - that is a big game for us,"

"I think the most important thing is to respond to Saturday, but it is also a local derby and we know the importance of the game.

"Going into that game with an attacking mentality might help us get the three points.

"The most encouraging thing is that we are getting points away from home - if we weren't doing that then it would be a different story."
