Olsson set to return

West Brom's key defender Jonas Olsson is poised to return after a three-month absence for the home Barclays Premier League clash with Blackpool on January 15. Olsson has been sidelined with an Achilles problem since October but has now returned to full training. The Swedish player helped Roberto Di Matteo's side gain promotion from the Championship last season and also to make a fine start to the current campaign. But in his absence Albion have leaked 24 goals in 12 league games - including Tuesday night's 3-0 defeat at Fulham - and have slid down the table towards the relegation zone. Di Matteo is unlikely to bring Olsson back for the weekend FA Cup tie at Reading but admits he is set for a comeback against the Seasiders. The West Brom head coach said: "I am not sure whether Jonas will be back for Saturday but we are hopeful he will be back for the next league game against Blackpool. He has been out for quite a long time and he is a very important player for us. It is a fact that we haven't lost many games when Jonas has been in the team."
