Olsson: Albion deserve credit

Defender says Baggies' league position underestimated Swedish warrior Jonas Olsson says the media should give Albion more credit for their impressive start to the season. Before a ball was kicked Albion were the bookies’ favourites for relegation. But despite away fixtures at Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United, the Baggies are sitting pretty in sixth place having earned 12 points. Vice-captain Olsson believes Albion’s early season achievements have so far been overlooked and says the Baggies should be shown more respect by the national media and television pundits alike. "We now have 12 points after eight games and we deserve every point we've got so far,” the giant defender insisted. "We are not going to apologise for where we are. "We deserve to be where we are and we're looking forward to trying to get another good result against Fulham on Saturday. "I am a little bit sick of every time we get a good result, everybody talking about United not having a good day, Arsenal not having a good day and Spurs not having a good day. "I think people have to give some credit to us as well because we have done it now week in, week out, against Tottenham, against Liverpool, against Arsenal, against Spurs, and I think people have to look at our performance and say that we did well. "We could have won the game. "Maybe United didn't have their best game - but we did well."
