Striker commits until 2014 Star striker Peter Odemwingie has signed a new and improved deal at The Hawthorns. The Nigerian international has ended weeks of speculation about his future by penning the three year deal after a wonderful first season in the Premier League. Odemwingie fired an impressive 15 league goals in his first full season in England and has been rewarded with a new deal for his efforts. Contract negotiations have been on-going since the end of last season with speculation linking Odemwingie with moves away from the Baggies. But after Albion declined an offer from Wigan earlier in the week, Baggies boss Roy Hodgson is delighted the pacy frontman has committed his future to the club. "I'm obviously very pleased that Peter has pledged his future to West Bromwich Albion,” "I always believed this would be the case and I am grateful to both him and the club for reaching an agreement. "We can now look forward to benefitting once again from Peter's goal-scoring prowess and seeing him play an important part in our campaign to stay in the Premier League for a second successive season."
