Newton rues Baggies luck

West Brom assistant manager Eddie Newton cursed his side's run of luck after they crashed out of the FA Cup at npower Championship side Reading. The Barclays Premier League side suffered a sixth-straight defeat as Shane Long's first-half goal proved the difference, while defender Jonas Olsson was sent-off on the hour mark. The Swedish defender only came on at the break for a planned 45 minutes as he recovers from an Achilles injury which had kept him out since October but lasted less than quarter of an hour before being booked twice. Newton said: "It was not a great performance but it wasn't bad. "We still created chances, but we switched off and paid the price for it. "Ishmael Miller could have had a penalty and he had a goal ruled out so we had some bad luck. It is not going well for us at the moment."
