Newton lauds Shorey and Jara
Assistant coach Eddie Newton believes the form of full-backs Nicky Shorey and Gonzalo Jara has been crucial to West Brom's fine start to the season.
The newly-promoted Baggies are sixth in the Barclays Premier League after seven games.
Shorey has impressed at left-back since his summer move from Aston Villa while versatile Chile international Jara, playing on the right, has adapted well to the step up in leagues.
Newton told the club's website: "Nicky and Gonzalo's performances have been fantastic.
"They defend very well, they're both aggressive but the big thing is that they keep the ball really well."
