New Year, new manager for Albion?

West Brom appointed Alan Irvine as their new manager in June on a 12-month rolling contract. The decision was a surprising one considering that Tim Sherwood was widely expected to be the man who replaced the departed Pepe Mel in the dugout. Irvine has had a mixed start to life at the Hawthorns, one that has seen his side drop to sixtieth in the Barclays Premier League.

Irvine has brought in many new faces and highly profiled players but something still isn't glueing in. With three losses on the trot and the club just above relegation does this mean time for another new manager for the Baggies in the new year... Bookies say yes.

This may be time for club chairman and lifelong Albion fan Jeremy Peace to pay up and choose an experienced and more notable type of manager. Currently there are some great coaches out there up for grabs, but will the club put their hands in their pockets, this writing can only wait and see.

Bookies favourites are currently listing the likes of Tony Pulis, Chris Hughton, Dick Advocaat and once again top favourite Tim Sherwood, a clear choice some would say but again, will we finally see Sherwood as the new boss if West Brom depart with Alan Irvine... Only time will tell.
