West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu has signed a new two-year contract with the Barclays Premier League newcomers.

The 23-year-old follows hot on the heels of Graham Dorrans, who penned a four-year deal on Monday, by committing his future to the Baggies until 2013, with the option of a further year.

"I'm delighted that another of our talented young players has committed his long-term future to the club," manger Roberto Di Matteo told West Brom's official website.

"Youssouf was one of about five players who played in the majority of our games last season and he played a major role in our success.

"The great thing about Youssouf is that he's a very humble guy who wants to learn. He's also going to get better and better because he is still young."

Mulumbu moved to The Hawthorns initially on loan from Paris St Germain two seasons ago before West Brom forked out £175,000 for his services on a permanent basis last summer.

The Democratic Republic of Congo international impressed in the Championship last term, making 46 appearances and scoring three goals.
